Hi and welcome to visit my very special home page.

As you probably allready figured out, my name is Gry. I was born in Oslo back in 1961, and since 1993 I have been living in the country side north east of Oslo. The name of the place is Hvam which is placed ini Nes Kommune in Akerhus County. You can also find exactly where I live by using this link to a Google Earth image. Hvam is really not the middel of the world, but as a result of the Gardermoen air port close to where I live, I feel that I am not far from either New York, Rome or where ever else I would like to go.
The place where I live is named Tomterasen, and there are about 200 homes here. Even if it is out in the country side, we are not far from school or other most needed services.

I aquired a life long interest in American classic cars as a teenager when I boguht my first car, a 1962 Ford Fairlane 4 door. I have had lots of American cars since then, Fords, Chevys and Mopars, but my true love is Mercurys. Right now I have something like 7 of them, some in nice condition and some not so nice.
You can go to my page telling more about my cars by clicking the garage doors. It will be in English soon.

Back in 1999 a good friend of mine and I started up Mercury Club of Norway. At the time I had serious problems with my back, and I could hardly move at all. To get days going I had to do something, and as a result I bought a computer and started to learn web design.
I don't have a clue on how many hours I have put into the club's web site, but if I had known whatit would take I would probably never have started it. Anyway, I think the club is very succesful, and I hope you want to take a look in there to see what it is all about. As usual you'll get theere by clicking the image to the left.
Feel free to send me an e-mail .

HERE I GUESS
OK, here is a picture of my home. It is far from the most fancy house here up in the hillside, but who cares?
I got what is important for me, I have lots of space that I can use and the house is nice and warm in the long Norwegian winters. And the most important thing, I have more garage space than anyone else around, and I can assure you, that is needed.
Most people living where I live are very proud of their nice gardens. Not so with me. I think that 2 feet of grass in the garden is not a sign of a lazy home owner, it just prooves that I am busy with other and more important things. That means usually my cars, dogs, birds, travelling and so on.

I share my property with my beautiful guarding dogs Avalon og Ona. They are both Dobermans, and I am very proud of them.

Since I live alone and have no kids they are the most important part of my life. And if someone want to trespass or brake into my home, they will find that I am the most important part of their life. It is not recommended to try, just take my word for it and you will live longer.

If you want to look at some nice pictures of my dogs please click the picture to the left.

Despite my music teachers rather negative opinion about my musical skill back in the scool, I decided to become a professional keyboard player. I did a lot of concerts with my band Made in Norway back in the 80's and early 90's, and I also played with several other bands for some years. I have been playing everything from soft jazz to heavy rock and blues through the years. I stopped touring back in 1995 and decided to make my living driving a school bus, which I did for a few years. Unfortunately I got health problems, and my back forced me to give it up. Now I am playing in a band again as a hobby, and I bacame a member of the progressive rock band Retroheads late in 2005. Hopefully we will be touring this summer. My favourite instrument is my old modified Hammond BC organ, but with the band I am playing a newer Hammond A-100, a Roland A-90 elctric piano and 6 synthesizers.
By clicking the organ picture you will coem to my virtual keyboard museum which will show you all the instruments I had since I started to play keyboards.

OK, you thought I was done now? Not so! I am also breeding birds as a hobby. My birds are presented on my budgerigar page. You can get to it by clicking the picture to the left. The text is in Norwegian, but the pictures are great and I think you will find it interesting anyway.
