Velcome to my presentation of me and to lean a little about my life and iterests.
As a start, my name is Gry Anett Stordahl. I was born in 1961 og and live in a small place named Hvam which is in Nes County in Norway. (about 35 miles north east of the capitol Oslo.)
The exact name of the place I call home is Tomteråsen, and it is a nice place filled with beautiful homes and well maintained gardens. And of course a lot of nice people too. I like it here, and this place offers almost everything I look at as important in my life. Nice neighbours, great nature and lots of perfect terrains and forest for nice walks with my dogs. This is for sure on the country side, but the nearness to Olso and everything there is also a great advantage.
The nearest towns to me are Årnes og Jessheim. The major international airport in Norway
Oslo Airport is only a short 20 minutes drive from me, so when I want to travel the world it is easy to get to the airport.
If you want to explore the place I live you are welcome to use take a look at this
picture or you can chek out this picture from
Google Earth.
As a teenager I aquired a life long interest in American classic cars and when I got my drivers license I had a 1961 Mercury Monterey convertible. I have had
lots of American cars since then, among them some Fords, Chevys and Mopars, but my true love among cars are
Mercurys. Right now I have something like 6 of them, some in nice condition and some not so nice. I do all the restoration wok on my cars myself, and the process of restoring the cars is for me more important than to actually drive them.
You can go to my page telling more about my cars by clicking the garage doors.
Back in 1999 I started a Mercury only car cub here in Norway. Today I am not a big part of the club administration anymore, but I still take care of the technical help desk and advices. I do also help members to find rare and hard to find parts for their cars.

Here you can see a picture of my home. It is far from the most fancy house here up in the hillside, but who cares?
I got what is important for me, I have lots of space that I can use and the house is nice and warm in the long Norwegian winters. And the most important thing, I have more garage space than anyone else around, and I can assure you that it is needed.
Most people living where I live are very proud of their nice gardens. Not so with me. For me 2 feet high grass in the garden is not necessarily a sign of a lazy home owner, it just prooves that I am busy with other and more important things than running around after a a garden mover having a crazy glimps in her eyes. Instead I find so many other things in life interesting. That usually means my my cars, dogs, birds, travelling and so on.
I share my property with my beautiful guarding dogs
Avalon and Amy. They are both Dobermans, and I am extremely proud of them. Since I live alone and have no kids they are the most important part of my life. And if someone should be tempted to trespass or to brake into my home while I am away, they will likely learn that our property and to protect me is the most important part of their life. It is not recommended to try, just take my word for it.
Despite my music teachers rather negative opinion on my musical skill back in the school, my destiny was to become a professional keyboard player. I did a lot of concerts with my band Made in Norway back in the 80's and early 90's, and I also played with several other bands for many years. I have been playing everything from 80' pop music to heavy rock and blues through the years. I stopped touring back in 1995 and decided to make my living driving a school bus, which I did for a few years. Unfortunately I got health problems, and my back forced me to give it up. Back in 2005 I started up with music again and became a member of the famous Norwegian progressive rock band Retroheds and reorded the album Introspective with them. Today I am playing in a local 80's music style cover band named Free Exhaust or as we say in Norwegian, Fri Eksos.
I love keyboards, and through the years I had a lot of them and wish I kept mmore of them instead of selling them when they were "outdated". So just to remember all of them I made a
virtual keyboard museum which will show you all the instruments I have had since I started to play keyboards.
